01 Profile

Technology, processes and accountability must work as one system.

From technical depth to IT function governance: a career built by connecting operational reality, decisions and organisation.

Experience · End-to-end scope · Alignment

I hold end-to-end responsibility for the Information Systems function across an international industrial group. I oversee infrastructure and business applications, budgets, vendors and contracts, security and compliance, business continuity and transformation initiatives, while supporting senior management in setting IT priorities.

This responsibility is grounded in twenty years of experience spanning IT support, software development, analysis, technology consulting in banking and information systems management in an industrial environment. That journey enables me to consider people, processes, technology and decisions together.

Technical knowledge keeps my decisions connected to operational reality. My distinctive contribution lies in setting priorities, governing risk and investment, coordinating stakeholders and vendors, and creating the conditions for IT to evolve sustainably.

02 Responsibilities

Governing IT means connecting decisions, continuity and change.

From understanding an operational need to comparing alternatives, setting priorities and coordinating delivery, I treat IT as a continuous cycle of decision, accountability and long-term sustainability.

Priorities · Accountability · Delivery

Governance and planning

I translate business needs and constraints into priorities, initiatives and clear accountabilities, maintaining an overall view of the IT function and its evolution.

Risk and continuity

I assess dependencies and points of fragility, set intervention priorities and guide systems evolution with a consistent focus on business continuity.

Vendors and investment

I plan and control the IT budget, manage vendors, consultants and technology contracts, and assess solutions in economic, organisational and long-term sustainability terms.

Systems and processes

I guide the evolution of applications and infrastructure in line with business processes, ensuring that each solution fits the way the organisation operates and makes decisions.

Data and decisions

I turn operational data and information needs into clear tools for people who need to monitor, prioritise and decide.

People and alignment

I align senior management, business functions, users, specialists and external partners by making objectives, roles, dependencies and decision criteria explicit.

03 Selected work

Decisions and transformations that make IT easier to govern.

Four corporate experiences show how I govern different forms of complexity: international and industrial systems, management information and operational resilience.

03 · DataManagement

Turning data into management insight

04 Independent projects

The same approach, applied to different domains.

Selected initiatives that connect domain knowledge, user needs, processes and technology, without becoming a software-development portfolio.

Domain · Users · Maintainability

Railways Run

An independent railway project built around rules, constraints and relationships between components. Its evolution requires complex specialist knowledge to be translated into a coherent system that remains understandable and maintainable.

CroceVerdeCasale.it and My Croce

A digital ecosystem developed for Croce Verde Casale, comprising CroceVerdeCasale.it and My Croce, the management system supporting internal processes.

05 Approach

Make the problem clear before choosing the solution.

Contexts change, but the approach remains consistent: understand the system as a whole, make decisions explicit and build solutions that can still be governed after the project ends.

01

Understand the context

I start with processes, the people involved, constraints and expected outcomes. A technology request is often the visible part of a wider organisational need.

02

Make priorities explicit

I separate urgency from importance, clarify dependencies and accountability, and establish a shared basis for decision-making.

03

Assess alternatives

I compare options by considering not only features and cost, but also risk, integration, internal capability, continuity and sustainability.

04

Coordinate delivery

I keep business functions, users, vendors and specialists aligned, connecting the initial decisions with the activities needed to make them operational.

05

Make the outcome sustainable

Roles, information, controls and management practices must enable the solution to continue delivering value over time.

I have applied the same approach in a limited number of focused external assignments: analysing requirements and options for the evolution of an operational ERP system, and carrying out an information security assessment with defined priorities and a roadmap.

06 Career

Twenty years of experience, from technical depth to end-to-end accountability.

The journey does not hide operational competence: it turns it into a practical foundation for broader decisions and for governing the IT function.
